The Internet is Your Oyster!

pearl

In the last few months I have found there are so many free resources available to everyone, all you have to do is look and it will most likely be there.

I have been using a lot of programs that are free and helpful.

My business account is with Wave and this is an unbelievable free service,of course you can update it and get all the bells and whistles for a small fee (most sites that want you as a customer even offer a “lite” version of the software so you can try it and possibly buy it), this service helps me manage my business well, it ties my checking, savings and PayPal together. I also use the invoice feature for one of my customers. The invoices are professional (with my logo) and all information that is needed, is on the invoice so when tax time comes I have proof of billing for the IRS.

A lot of bloggers, freelancers, and other business people who work from home use services like Tweakdeck, Buffer, or HootSuite to link their social media accounts together. All you have to do is write one post and schedule it in the queue, and the service will post to all your accounts for you (just like that easy peasy).

If you are looking to send weekly or monthly newsletters to your customers, you also have the convenience of Aweber which is an email marketing tool (which charges $1, not very steep at all)

The convenience of the internet is a wonderful, anytime I need to learn something new I just write what I am looking for in my search engine with the word FREE and 9 times out of 10 there is indeed a free resource available to me. That’s how I found my blogging course, which is amazing because I have met some pretty fantastic people who have given me some good advice and constructive criticism.

I also work for a very talented Website Marketing Adviser, his goal is to help people grow and market their online business. A lot of the advice he gives is very helpful and his website offers free web videos and tips. He believes in helping people achieve their goals by teaching them how to market their products and/or services. He teaches the first time business owner and even the seasoned business person how to market themselves. If anyone is interested in viewing these free videos and subscribing to his site its: Insider Internet Success.

If you know how to look you can find anything on the internet. I suggest just spending some time to look around and see what is available to you.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please feel free to comment, like or follow my blog.

I think my next post will be a surprise post (love to keep my readers guessing).

Hope you stay tuned!

About Palmer Fancy-Freelance

My name is Amanda (Mandy), recently I have become unemployed and after lots of thought and encouragement from a dear friend I decided to start freelancing business as an Administrative Professional. This blog will document my endeavors to launch a successful freelance business. Why freelance you ask? I have many reasons why I want to freelance and the most important is so I can stay at home and raise my children. In the past year of being unemployed I have found that going to work everyday and being in a management position for a company took me away from what is important, my children and husband. Unfortunately I need two incomes to support my household and freelancing seems like the answer to my prayers. Why blog about it? well I am hoping that I can help others that are wanting to do the same. Maybe someone reading my blog will learn from my mistakes (I know there will be many) and from my triumphs. I am also hoping maybe other freelancers will read as well and help me along the way.
